The Order of Chinggis Khaan is Mongolia’s highest state honor. It is awarded to individuals who embody the spirit of Chinggis Khaan through exceptional service to Mongolia and humanity. Established in 2005, the Order symbolizes strength, unity, and the enduring legacy of Chinggis Khaan’s leadership.
The center of the Order of Chinggis Khaan medal is round, featuring a depiction of Chinggis Khaan embossed in white gold on a gray enamel background.
The phrase “Munkh tengeriin khuchin dor” [Under the Might of the Eternal Blue Sky] is embossed in gold on the right side, while “Chinggis Khaan Temuujin” is written in Khudam script [traditional Mongolian script] on the left side.
The golden decorative circular border with Ever Ugalz [horn-shaped patterns] symbolizes the Four Cardinal Directions and the Eight Corners of the Direction. It is adorned with rays representing unity and strength.
The longer rays feature a bundle of five arrows gilded in gold, symbolizing unity and strength. The knot of the bundle has a gemstone-encrusted white gold base with a diamond in the center.
On both sides of each long ray, there are shorter rays of the same length with white gold grooves and golden tips, ending in small golden spheres. Between these, there are wider golden rays with rubies embedded at the tips, and shorter white gold rays with grooves.
At the top of the medal, there is a section connecting the medal with the pendant, featuring the Great White Banner with Chinggis Khaan’s Gerege (a symbol of authority), crafted of white and yellow gold. The pendant itself consists of a Golden Soyombo symbol set against a blue enamel background, surrounded by the Great White Banners and lotus flowers.
